Dressed In Thai Silk
BANGKOK, Organizers of the recent Miss Universe competition dressed all of this year’s contestants in Thailand silk for a traditional Thai themed dinner at the famous Dusit Thani Bangkok.
The worlds most beautiful women from 95 countries were fashioned in Thai silk from the Foundation for the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Technique of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand under the fashion concept “Mongkol”. Each dresses color and palette was inspired by the daily colors observed in Thai culture;
Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannnavari Nariratana ceremoniously allowed a dress from her special SIRIVANNAVARI brand to be worn by the 2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
Another dress from the SIRIVANNAVARI collection was worn by the 2018 Miss Universe Thailand Sophida Kanchanarin as she led this year’s contestants in a gracious display of the gowns which highlighted Thai silk as well as the designs of 19 top Thai fashion designers.
